Lawry’s The Prime Rib is a restaurant specializing in prime rib that was established in Los Angeles in 1938. Prime rib is a fine piece of bone-in beef coated with special spices and rock-salt roasted to perfection, American style. At Lawry’s the Prime Rib, several large standing rib roasts are delivered to the table in a gleaming “silver” cart and customers select from among the sizes before them and choose how well they want their meat cooked. The ribs are then cut to order and served tableside.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib currently has four locations in the U.S. (Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and Dallas) and six in Asia (Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea). Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Osaka marks a milestone as the chain’s tenth restaurant, opening in 2008 in Umeda, Osaka at Herbis Plaza Ent.


The menu at Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Osaka is comprised of several courses. Other than the main prime rib, it includes Spinning Bowl Salad, Mashed Potato and Yorkshire Pudding. Choose from a selection of five different sizes of prime rib cuts: the Osaka Cut, the California Cut, the English Cut, the Lawry Cut and the Diamond Jim Brady Cut. At our Osaka restaurant we also have a steak menu using prime rib.
Other than prime rib, we also have seafood courses recommended by the chef, American lobster and a variety of side dishes.
We have a wine list comprising a wide range of brands, with over 70 mostly Californian wines.


The spacious interior of Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Osaka, with seating for 217, is a dynamic space consolidated with a modern art deco style.
The area past the entrance has a bar and lounge where you can wait for your table as you enjoy some pre-meal cocktails. Further inside is the main dining area with a 5-meter high wine cellar and table and sofa seats, as well as three private rooms. Enjoy genuine American prime rib to your heart’s content in the gorgeous interior that’s just like a scene from the movies.


At Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Osaka, we have three private rooms that guests may use to suit their purpose. Seating is available for 12 people up to a maximum of 44, and we can accommodate stand-up meal plans for 30 or more guests. We also have a projector and screen set up, so please use the rooms for various gatherings or parties, not only dinner parties and banquets.


Hiroaki Kono, General Manager
In 2000 Kono joined Wondertable, Ltd. After training a number of brands, he served as Manager at Bellini Trattoria, Roppongi, and moved up to at Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Tokyo, and now has taken the helm as General Manager at Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Osaka. His mission is to get many people to know about how wonderful Lawry’s is, which has the 70 years of history in America.

Koichi Kato, Master Chef
After graduating from culinary school, Kato trained at French restaurants and hotels. He had stayed in Paris for 2.5 years for training. After return to Japan, he worked as an chef in several famous restaurants and finally joined Wondertable, Ltd. He served as Head Chef of the company’s brands. In April 2010, he had trained in flag shop of Lawry's The Prime Rib in LA, and now became the head chef at Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Osaka. His great pleasure is to deliver his guests the wonder of real prime rib.
